Would you like a Smoothie :) ?

Bought a bunch of Banana's the other day and they were getting old. Didn't know what to do with them, so I thought, 'Hey, why not a smoothie?' So, I did experiment by throwing a couple of other ingredients into this smoothie to blend away, and it taste AH-MAZING! And since good things are supposed to be shared, I'm going to share it with you readers. Do try it out and let me know if you find it tasty.

The 'star' of this drink is obviously the mighty Banana :) Banana's are rich in Potassium and many more other vitamins which are necessary for vital growth and sustaining a healthy lifestyle. If you think banana's are only for monkeys, you might want to re-think again. Also, it is known to prevent many health complication if included in your diet. I will include a few helpful links if at all you're interested :)

Next up, was Papaya. Had half papaya left-over in the refrigerator and wanted to use it before it got stale. Hence, I included about 1 cup of papayas. Did you know that papaya's packs a punch of Vitamin C and Vitamin A? About 100grams of papaya is quoted to contain about 74% of Vitamin C and 41% of Vitamin A. With these benefits, who needs supplements :)

Personally, I have skin complications. I've been suffering acne breakout and they leave scars on my skin. So, my point is, I need something with anti-bacterial property and after some journal readings, I thought of trying out Aloe Vera. I have been including Aloe Vera in my diet for a week now, (obviously too soon to see any results at all), so, I included about 1 tablespoon on Aloe Vera gel into this smoothie. The gel I used was from fresh Aloe Vera, just scoop out the inner gel with a spoon.

Yogurt has probiotics and they are good bacteria for you. Who says all bacteria's are bad? If you're curious, the most common types of bacteria's found in yogurt would be l.bulgaricus and s.thermophilus. I will include an interesting link here.

I added a tablespoon of Nut Spread into this drink as well. Simply because, nuts in general, contains loads of benefits such as protein and healthy fats. Thankfully, the product I used has a website that explains the nutritious benefits of their products. If interested, do check it out. For your information, I used the ABC  (almonds, brazils and cashews).

Finally, I added Organic Soy Milk as the 'liquid base' for this smoothie. Interestingly, this product is Non-GMO and contains 'Oligosaccarides ' which is a form of Prebiotics.

And the next step, BLEND AWAY :)

I truly enjoyed this smoothie goodness that packs a bunch of nutritious benefits for our health. I do hope you would try it out, not necessarily from the exact ingredients I used, but as long as you get the idea of how to make this drink, I strongly recommend you all to give it a try.
